What is a Custom Club? When you buy factory made golf clubs, they are made to fit the average person. When you have clubs that have been made especially for you, they fit your height, strength, and abilities. No two golfers are made exactly the same. A 25-year-old male that is 6'1" does not swing the same as a 60-year-old male that is the same height. Before your custom golf club or clubs are made, a fitting is generally required to determine your needs. The fitting will establish your swing speed, length of club, loft and lies, launch angle, swing weight, and the type and size of grips, by a trained club fitter. Once you select the club head style, your choice of a steel of graphite shaft will be evaluated based on the results of the fitting process, for the improvement of your game. Once all of the fitting information has been analyzed, your clubs will be built utilizing a state of the art frequency meter ensuring that each club maintains consistency for the ultimate playability. The golf shafts will be lasered to determine the best playing position for the shaft. (OSO) Optimum Shaft Orientation. Special Needs AddressedAnyone, from the visually impaired to an amputee, can enjoy the fun of the game without spending a fortune. Special grips can be put on to teach anyone the proper grip, and positioning of the club. For example, extra padding in the grip can enable a person with arthritis to hold and swing a club virtually pain-free. In addition, we carry a wide variety of products for left handed players and ladies. Today, many children are getting into the game of golf. After all, it is the game you can play for a lifetime. Since children grow so fast, many parents fear the cost will be too great. To help with that cause, we recommend that a good set of club heads be selected. The club is then fit to the child's height with a little grow room. When the child has gotten too tall, the only thing that needs to be done is to reshaft the clubs. That saves at least half the cost of new clubs. So if you have the next Tiger Woods in your family, let him or her get an early start. Golf continues to grow as a family sport. And we, at Johnson Golf Clubs, are working at making clubs to fit each individual at a reasonable cost. So if you are between the ages of 2 to forever, give us a call.
